Choosing engineered flooring

Three things worth knowing

Check the wear layer

The real wood top layer is usually 2 to 6 mm thick. The thicker it is, the more times the floor can be sanded and refinished.

Good with underfloor heating

Engineered boards are more stable than solid wood, so most suit underfloor heating. Check the product for its limits.

Let it settle first

Wood needs time to adjust to your home before fitting. Follow the time recommended for your floor.
